On June 30 a New Overpass Was Opened in Kokoshino

In Kokoshkino of the Novomoskovsky Administrative District a traffic over highway overpass was opened at the 33th kilometre of the Kiev Line of the Moscow Railway. The mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin participated in the opening ceremony

“A new road, in effect, from Troitsk to Krekshino was built; it means connection from Troitsk to Minskoye Motorway, 15 km of the road with overpass, a new highway which will give transversal link of Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Districts. It’s a good road, congratulations to everyone”, said the mayor.

Reconstruction of the passage was initiated in August 2016. Four-lane overpass (two traffic lanes for each direction) of 186-metre length was built in less than a year.

This will allow to increase traffic capacity of the passage by four-five times, up to 3,000 vehicles per hour, to eliminate hold-ups of many kilometres long before it and to ensure comfortable transport link between Borovskoye and Minskoye Motorway, and eventually — with Kiyevskoye and Kaluzhskoye Motorways.

Additional routes for transportation servicing nearby districts will appear.
